Description of project management
Nansen Environmental Research Centre - India (NERCI) in Cochin, Kerala, India will coordinate the INDO-MARECLIM project. The project coordinator will be Prof. N.R. Menon. The project coordinator will capitalize on the extensive experience of Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center in Bergen, Norway (Partner 2) has in the implementation of more than 100 EC FP projects of which they have coordinated 42. Lasse H. Pettersson (NERSC) will be the deputy coordinator of the project. The project co-ordinator will control the implementation of the project according the project Workplan. The project coordinator will have the overall responsibility of the project and co-ordination of the WPs to be carried out by the partners as regulated through the project contract and consortium agreement. The project coordinator will communicate directly with the WP leaders, who have the main responsibility for the scientific/technical work and the deliverables from each WP. Project management will be done through twice per year progress meetings for all participants, e-mail correspondence, teleconferences, an internal project web site where all relevant documents and information will be posted, through the project deliverables and dissemination activities
The financial transactions, control and reporting will be done by K.S. Hariharan (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org), Chief accountant at NERCI, who has extensive experience. The overall financial administration of the project will be centralized using the accounting system at NERCI.
